FEB 18 2004 E-Learning Using Gaming Principles and 3D Visualization

The use of 3D in eLearning will tap into the human spirit. It will challenge and be the spark of innovation. The virtual frontier may best be described by what it is not. It is not just a simulation or computer game. It is not just a web site or performance support tool. It is not corporate learning in the traditional sense. As input components such as "position tracking devices" and "sensing (data) gloves" become more available the benefits of using 3D in eLearning will become more pronounced.

In this webinar we will describe how a simulation, gaming components and performance support disciplines can be combined to create the next generation learning environment / program. Join our expert panelists on as they evaluate the types of training that simulations lend themselves to and offer advice on how your organization can leverage the power of simulation for more effective education.

Keynote Presentations by:

JUL 17 2003 E-Learning: the Learning Curve

Given e-learning's visibility, and the potential promise for teaching and learning, it is scarcely surprising that perceptions about its significance differ. Early on, we witnessed a series of claims that e-learning was the ultimate panacea, but many commentators are suggesting that this early optimism was grossly misplaced. There is now sufficient evidence to show that the growth of e-learning in corporate organization has plateau flowing a variety of implementation problems.

It is therefore appropriate to ask what is currently happening. What is taking place in those organizations that have made a firm commitment to the use of e-learning as part of their portfolio of training interventions, in particular:

  • What is currently on their agenda?
  • What strategies are they employing?
  • What problems have they encountered?
  • How are they seeking to overcome them?
  • What advice would they offer others who might be thinking of implementing e-learning?

APR 17 2003 What Every Company Should Know About Compliance Training

Organizations are constantly at risk due the actions of their officers, managers and employees. In today's regulatory environment, compliance to ethics, values, environmental and safety practices, and codes of conduct are of highest importance. Although compliance is expensive, failure to comply is even more expensive.

The tangle of legal requirements demands mandatory rather than discretionary conduct. Violation exposes a company's officers and directors to expensive penalties and lawsuits. When it comes to compliance issues, the choice is not "whether to train" but "how to train". Companies are forced to define their approach, select the resources to support that approach, and find solutions for the challenge of delivering training when time away from the job means decreased productivity. This webinar will cover:

  • Standard setting, audit processes, and expectations of regulating agencies.
  • Legal consequences of non-compliance
  • Successful approaches companies are taking.
  • raining formats that provide the best results.
  • Record keeping and training processes that satisfy auditors.

The focus of this webinar will be on practical how-to's. Our panel will share recent trends and success stories. Those who should attend: HR managers and Training and Development Managers as strategic partners to the company's Board of Directors.
