This Summit “How to Become a Learning Organization” will offer a day and a half, close environment for participants to deeply explore what it means to be a Learning Organization. We will benefit from each other’s practices and the research of selected industry thought leaders. We will share best practices and challenges in transforming training organizations into learning organizations.

Based on the belief that, ”What people learn is more important than what they are trained to do,” the implications to the competencies and structure of the training and development organization is huge!!

Learning and Development organizations are transforming themselves from traditional training to multi-faceted organizations to support real learning. Understand what these organizations are doing that is more than a name shift. Training has been described as an instructor-led, content-based intervention, leading to desired changes in behavior. Learning is described as a self-directed, work-based process, leading to increased adaptive capacity.

• What are the practices that create a positive climate for learning?
• What are companies doing to build up learning capabilities?
• What effective learning interventions are they designing and delivering?
