The Summit will offer an
intimate environment for participants to deeply explore one critical
topic – Leadership, at all levels of the enterprise. At this
dynamic summit, we will learn from each other, share best practices
and discuss common challenges. This program is distinct from other
LearnShare events, because of its emphasis on collective thought
around a single issue, critical to all our businesses.
We will learn from our own collective
experiences in confronting challenges and solving problems in
building and growing effective leadership programs. Through the
process of provocative and timely dialogue, the lessons to be
learned from Summit participation will stimulate an enriched sense
of all phases of leadership. Ultimately, we will come away with
specific ideas and insights as to what we as developers of
leadership, might do differently in our organizations.
Leadership is a discipline that
touches all aspects of organizational effectiveness. We are
increasingly dependent on the quality of our current leadership,
while our company’s future is defined by the ability to mold the
next generation of leadership. Creating a vision, sharing it, and
motivating others to buy into it require not only thoughtful
consideration and technical acumen but also a deeper understanding
of culture and values.

Behind the Scenes Event
Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
(Formerly known as the Texas School Book Depository)
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
contains a permanent historical exhibit dealing with the
life, times, death and legacy of John F. Kennedy with a
focus on the impact of his death on the nation and the
world. The subject is documented and illustrated through the
use of nearly 400 photographs, 45 minutes of documentary
films, artifacts, graphs, charts and other related
interpretive materials. Two evidentiary areas associated
with the President's assassin are preserved including the
alleged sniper's perch. Since its opening in February 1989,
the museum has welcomed almost 4 million visitors. It is
called The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza because the
sixth floor of the building, the site of the museum, is
where a sniper's nest and rifle were found after Kennedy's
assassination.
The LearnShare Behind the Scenes event will be held on
the 7th floor of the Museum Wednesday, January 26 from 6 - 9 pm. Bus
transportation to and from the event will be provided. A Museum docent
will conduct a special guided tour of the Museum including the Sixth Floor
Permanent Exhibition. Dinner will follow the tour.
